Vernon Produce Q&A

Our long-lasting relationship with Vernon Produce has given us the opportunity to offer our guests some of the best local produce, which is the basis of our delicious meals. We are always proud to support local businesses to boost community-based relationships and follow more sustainable practices.

“Our relationship with Harvest Table has given us an opportunity to support a unique and diverse local community,” said Pam Seat, sales coordinator at Vernon Produce. “We have become even more integrated into our local farms and suppliers that support Harvest Table and it has also given us the opportunity to service a customer in the way we are accustomed to,” she added.

As an active member of our community, Vernon has also made impactful contributions through their various partnerships with many local organizations including H.O.P.E of Winston-Salem, and Second Harvest Food Bank NWNC. The company also supports the composting efforts of local farmers.

“Serving the community with fresh produce in multiple ways is a unique opportunity and we form close bonds with our partners and customers.  We invest and support each other in a way that is more traditional and authentic,” said Seat.

In terms of always providing fresh and accessible produce, Vernon prioritizes their relationships with the best suppliers, and that all comes down to experience. Apart from local providers they also offer global produce, making sure that the best quality is always present. Their long-lasting family-owned business is a testament to the benefits of hard work.

“With over 90 years of history in the industry, we have a really good idea of who the best providers are. That experience also helps us to understand how to manage the quality expectations of the customer,” said Seat. “Our goal is to provide exceptional value which we define as a combination of quality, service, and price,” she added.
